Offleash area next to the bay.
From I-580 or I-80 (the Eastshore Freeway) in Richmond, take Central Avenue west to Isabel Street or Rydin Road, turn right to get to Point Isabel parking lots, adjacent to Costco and the U.S. Postal Service Bulk Mail Center.
MapA great, long beach where dogs are allowed offleash
The entrance and large parking lot can only be reached by driving south on Skyline Blvd (Highway 35). Go past the traffic light at John Muir Blvd and up the hill. You'll see a small sign on the right, near the top of the hill
MapNice lake where dogs can swim
Going south on Almaden Expwy turn left at the lights at Via Monte into the Water District parking lot. Then follow the trail either left or right around the lake.
See the map for the best place to hang out.
MapBeach where dogs are usually seen off leash, however officially it says dogs must be on leash. Not sure how well enforced that is.
South 17 to Hwy 1. South to Watsonville.
Take Rio Del Mar Exit, turn right then first left (Clubhouse Dr.), at the AM/PM mini market. Follow road until end, turn left (Via Palo Alto) and park about 1200ft down, there are stairs down to the beach.
On the map I have marked the stairs on the google map. Zoom out ans switch to map view from satellite view for better directions from Hwy 1.
MapNice place where dogs are allowed to swim, But recently leash laws have been enforced there. So I guess you need a flexi leash if you want them to swim.
Go South on Camden Ave, turn left onto Singletree way just past Blossom Hill Road.
About 800 feet on the right park by the Power poll, and follow the trail down to the ponds
